The full interview from the Blueprints for Awakening DVD.
This film offers a unique insight for those wishing to taste the authentic Indian spiritual tradition.
Ajja’s vivid presence, joyful laughter and simple words of wisdom deeply touch the heart and soul.
Ajja, born Ramachandra Bhat in Nettar, India, was a modest farmer and family man until he underwent a spontaneous and dramatic awakening aged thirty-six. From that day on, he declared himself ‘dead’, no longer the owner of his own body. He came to Puttur, Karnataka, in 1970 and started sharing his views with like-minded persons. He lived at Ananda Kuteera in the village of Kemmai. He stuck to his famous buzzline, ‘This body is not mine,’ to the end. Ajja left the body on March 12th 2007, at the age of ninety-one.
